The Audiophile Podcast – Brother Baxter
(Simon Twine)

Up this month we have a special mix from a long time friend of audiophile…

Brother Baxter began his involvement with the electronic music scene as resident VJ for the Firefly night in Nottingham, and has since VJed for clubs, bands and festivals across the UK.

After moving to Bristol his taste in all things techno has broadened thanks to the city’s bass culture. Recent work on an AV project has triggered a focus on music production and programming. He is currently working on an EBM influenced project with Borai and Caravan label boss DJ October as a result of a mutual love of German legends DAF.

We asked Simon to describe the mix for us, here’s what the big guy had to say:

“I began this mix with a bit of a plan of what I was going to do, but then mostly ignored it, and it took its own route. Lighter styles to start, a little Joy Orbison excursion, then heads steadily towards technoville….”

We say.. “fat rave!”
